Living donor vs deceased donor kidney transplant

Ano ang pangunahing pagkakaiba?
Sa living donor transplant, ang kidney ay galing sa isang buhay na donor na dumaan sa sariling medical at psychosocial evaluation. Kapag approved ang donor at recipient at suitable ang matching, maaaring planuhin ang timing ng surgery.
Sa deceased donor transplant, ang kidney ay nagmumula sa isang deceased organ donor at ang recipient ay kailangang ready habang naghihintay ng suitable organ offer. Timing is less predictable because the offer depends on donor availability and matching.
Pareho pa ring may matching at final assessment
Hindi sapat na gusto lang ng isang living donor na magbigay, at hindi rin sapat na nasa deceased-donor list ka na. Both pathways require medical suitability, compatibility testing and transplant-team approval.
Ano ang practical difference sa patient?
Ang best option ay hindi purely personal preference. Nakadepende ito sa medical suitability, donor availability, transplant-center assessment at individual circumstances.
- ✓Living donor: maaaring ma-schedule kapag complete at approved ang donor at recipient evaluation.
- ✓Deceased donor: kailangang manatiling reachable at medically ready habang naghihintay ng suitable offer.
- ✓Living donor has a separate donor-safety evaluation and consent process.
- ✓Both require surgery, anti-rejection medicines and long-term transplant follow-up after the transplant.
Kung wala kang living donor
Hindi ibig sabihin na wala ka nang transplant option. Ask your transplant center about the deceased-donor pathway and what requirements you need to complete or maintain. Habang naghihintay, continue dialysis and other treatment exactly as advised by your care team.
