Paano maghanda para sa deceased-donor transplant evaluation
Practical guide sa paghahanda bago at habang ine-evaluate ka para sa kidney transplant—mula records at clearances hanggang sa mga tanong na dapat dalhin sa transplant team.

Ano ang transplant evaluation?
Ang transplant evaluation ay hindi isang exam na kailangang 'ipasa' sa isang araw. Ito ay serye ng medical at practical assessments para malaman kung ligtas at angkop ang kidney transplant para sa iyo, at kung may mga problemang kailangang ayusin bago ka maging eligible.
Karaniwang kasama sa evaluation ang blood tests, assessment ng puso at ibang organs, infection screening, review ng dialysis at medical history, at pag-uusap tungkol sa medicines, support system at kakayahang sumunod sa long-term follow-up. Ang eksaktong tests at order ng steps ay transplant-center specific.
Ihanda ang medical records mo
Mas mabilis maintindihan ng transplant team ang history mo kung organized ang records. Dalhin ang pinakabagong dialysis summary, recent labs, listahan ng gamot, past surgeries at hospitalizations, at anumang transplant-related records kung nagkaroon ka na ng transplant dati.

- ✓Recent dialysis records at laboratory results.
- ✓Previous operative reports o transplant records kung available.
- ✓Cardiology, dental at ibang clearances kung hinihingi ng team.
- ✓Valid contact details ng patient at emergency contact.
Sabihin ang buong medical history
Mahalagang sabihin ang recent infection, surgery, blood transfusion, pregnancy history kung applicable, prior transplant, cancer history, cardiovascular problems at anumang hospitalization. Ang ilan sa mga ito ay maaaring makaapekto sa timing, antibody testing o additional clearance.
Huwag mag-self-edit ng impormasyon dahil lang sa takot na ma-delay ang evaluation. Mas ligtas na alam ng transplant team ang buong picture para makapagplano sila nang tama.
Magdala ng tanong, hindi lang documents
Magandang itanong kung ano ang next step pagkatapos ng bawat test, alin ang may expiration, sino ang contact person kapag may bagong result, at paano malalaman kung active o may kulang sa file mo. Kung may hindi malinaw sa terminology, itanong agad.
