Approval, quantity, brand and amount can depend on the prescription, quotation, assessment, available provider arrangement and current PCSO rules. If a Facebook post gives a fixed quantity, verify it directly before relying on it.

DSWD AICS medical assistance can include medicines, subject to social-worker assessment and supporting documents. In 2026 DSWD expanded Guarantee Letter partnerships with pharmacies and other service providers.

For EPO, ask whether the exact product and supplier in your quotation can be processed under the GL. Do not buy first and assume reimbursement unless the issuing office specifically confirms that route.

PhilHealth's current hemodialysis framework uses a ₱6,350 case rate and no-copayment rule for covered services listed in the applicable circular. That does not justify a blanket statement that every EPO dose for every patient is always separately free or always separately billable.

Ask your dialysis centre to identify whether the specific EPO administration or medicine is included in the package for your case, and request an itemized explanation if you are being charged.
