What patients actually do
Recent patients repeatedly describe going through the Malasakit/Social Service or Credit and Collection side of NKTI to have medical assistance or a GL assessed, verified or credited before going to the pharmacy.
The exact window sequence is not fixed in the patient reports. What stays consistent is that the assistance has to be recognized by the hospital before pharmacy release.
Malasakit is not the pharmacy
Malasakit/Social Service helps with assessment and coordination. The pharmacy handles medicine dispensing. A GL or assistance approval does not automatically mean you can skip hospital-side verification.
GL numbers and tracking numbers
A recent patient vlog showed an SMS containing a GL number beginning with NKTI and a separate tracking reference. The patient printed or prepared the assistance details and then went through the hospital verification/crediting step.
Keep screenshots and printed copies because recent patients repeatedly rely on those reference details during the process.
Why patients still mention senator GLs despite 2026 policy changes
Recent August–September patients still report successful medicine claims using senator-issued GLs even though national medical-assistance policy has been shifting away from requiring politician endorsements.
KidneyTalksPH should report both facts: the policy direction and what patients are actually still experiencing at NKTI. One should not erase the other.
Simple current mental map
Doctor/prescription → Social Service/Malasakit or applicable assistance route → GL/reference verification or crediting → PharmOAS/pharmacy → release subject to stock.
If a newer patient report shows a different internal counter or sequence, update the map rather than treating this as permanent.
